Two MP3s are temporarly offline. I'm sorry, but is not my fault, they have been deleted by the administrator. As a reminder: if you have got free space on a local server (and I'm not talking about Geocities, Xoom, etc...), and you can use this space for MP3s please, let me know.

You have to read this article! You'll learn about Bon Jovi (the band!) future!
BON JOVI : NO LP
BEFORE '99 - But Jon's busy writing new songs
Plus : What fans will hear at Richie Sambora's solo shows
Bon Jovi have revealed exclusively to Kerrang! that they are unlikely to start work on
their next album until well into 1999, because of guitarist Richie Sambora's commitment to
touring in support of his current solo album, 'Undiscovered Soul'.
"Richie's going to be out there for a long while, because he wants this record to run
its course," Jon Bon Jovi confirmed this week. "He thought that he'd tour for
six weeks, and I said, 'No way, it'll be months'. I'm sure he'll tour for the rest of this
year, which means a band record is a long way off."
Jon himself has nevertheless spent the last few weeks writing intensely.
"I've been like a writing fool!" he states, excitedly. "I have 12 new
songs. And I called up my solo band to work on some demos. I could have called the guys in
Bon Jovi, but some of the songs are suited to the band and others are suited to my solo
stuff. At the moment, I'm not sure which way it's going to go."
Jon describes the material as "nothing like 'Destination Anywhere' (his recent solo
album). If anything it's closer to a band sound with a little bit of English influence,
because I bought the new Pulp record!" he laughs. "Apart from that, there are
songs that remind me of us (Bon Jovi) over the years."
Meantime, Richie Sambora is seriously planning
for his own solo career, having just recruited new manager David Krebs, whose previous
charges include Aerosmith, AC/DC and Def Leppard.
"It won't be another six years before my next solo album, that's for sure,"
insists Sambora. "I have my own path besides Bon Jovi. I'd like to see both
evolve."
Could the fact that both Richie and Jon have their solo careers up and running mean the
end of Bon Jovi as a band?
"Definitely not," states Jon. "I'd like to continue to leave my options
open. This is a great rock band, and when I play with Richie we meld in a way that's
great. But we both have things we want to do right now."
Finally, there is one piece of sad news on the Bon Jovi front - that drummer Tico Torres
has split from his wife, supermodel Eva Herzigova.
'DISCOVERING' SAMBORA - Richie promises
two-hour live show
Richie Sambora will play his first ever UK solo shows later this month. And interest in
the guitarist is huge.
He has already sold out London Shepherds Bush Empire on July 22. And tickets for a second
night at the venue, on July 23, and for Manchester Apollo (24) are selling well.
Sambora intends to play for more than two hours each night. And his set will not only
feature songs from both his solo albums to date ('Undiscovered Soul' and 'Stranger In This
Town'), but also several cover versions and, says the man, "Four or five Bon Jovi
songs, with my own twist!"
Joining Sambora onstage will be his writing partner Richie Supa (guitar), Kasim Sultan
(bass), Tommy Mandel (keyboards), Ron Wicksow (drums) and Crystal Telefarro (backing
vocals).

So, the Pavarotti & Friends
is gone... What a show!
Jon Bon Jovi opened the festival with "Let It Rain",
a duet with BIG LUCIANO! Yes!
They were GREAT!
Later on, Jon performed Janie, Don't Take Your Love To Town, but not the acoustic version. Anyway, a GREAT performance. His voice is always amazing!
There were many other artists (see the list below), but let me spend some word for Celine Dion: he performed the super-known My Heart Will Go On but by live, her voice is incredible. Is true I think: Celine has the most beautiful voice in the world!
29 May 1998
Ok.... That's for sure! Jon Bon Jovi will be at the Pavarotti & Friends the 9 of June at "Parco Novi Sad" in Modena, Italy! He will perform:
It isn't much but is better than nothing, I think... :)
At the P&F other artists will perform: Natalie Cole, The Corrs,
Pino Daniele, CELINE DION, Florent Pagny, Eros Ramazzotti, Spice Girls, Vanessa Williams,
STEVIE WONDER, Trisha Yearwood, Zucchero! Not bad, huh?
:D

From alt.music.bon-jovi a little review of a Jon's tour date in Bremen, Germany:
So, now I'm there again...after a night full with sweet dreams of Jon...
About 5000 People have been there to see him, it was totally sold out. The audience was
totally mixed, I was standing (4.row! direct in front of Jon)between 13 years old girls
and a father with his family, they came from all over of north germany to see him because
there are only 4 shows in germany.
He had black clothes on, a blue shirt and his hair war short, but not as short as it was
in TLM, and blond. And he looked absolutely sexy..but I donīt have to tell you! This blue
eyes...This man is really cheeky how he playes with his smile, he did a lot of dancing and
he has really learned it...lol. It seemed to me as if he was happy to be back on stage and
he had such a lot of power.
And most important:
He told us that he became a movie man but he promised that for nothing in the world he
would give up the making music.
The Big Dogs are with him and they are really great.
Itīs funny but I canīt remember which song he started with...the second was You give
love a bad name...but I donīt know the first one!
Anyway, he played this songs:
Queen of New Orleans
Ugly
Janie
Every word was a piece of my heart
Itīs just me
August 7
Destination Anywhere
Naked
Blaze of Glory
Billy get your guns
Blood money
Keep the faith
Someday Iīll be Saturday Night
You give love a bad name
Bad Medicine
Sleep when Iīm dead
And of course the new song, it was something like "Things are just things", no
thatīs not the right titel but there was something with things in it...lol.
He asked us if we wanted to hear some new BJ stuff and ofcourse everybody
screamed yeaaahhhh. Itīs a fast song and the stil as Sleep when Iīm dead. He said it
will probably be on the new BJ CD next year.
He played for nearly 2 hours and we got him back on stage two times. If the management
wouldnīt have turned on the lights we wouldnīt have let him go. I mean the audience sang
most of the songs...lol...he only had to help us when we didnīt know the lyrics...but he
enjoyed it.
He didnīt play Midnight in Chelsea, wonder why, but it was a very powerful show, only two
slow songs.
All together it was absolutely great and he is the sexiest man alive (good my husband
doesnīt read this!).

Hey folks!
I have these BJ's songs in MP3 format:
- DRY COUNTRY (live) - 11:10
- IT'S ONLY ROCK'N'ROLL (cover - live - duet with Richie) - 4:58
- HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN (cover - live) - 3:46
- HELTER SKELTER (cover - live) - 3:10
I've recorded these songs from a local radio, and then I've worked on the WAVs with Sound
Forge.... So the quality is pretty good.
Now, all that I need is a site where to upload these songs.
The space required is about 22 megs... The site must support resume in uploading (I'm not
gonna ul all this stuff in one session! 8) ).
Got any suggestion?
Thanks!

From alt.music.bon-jovi:
Hi;
i have put a little Bon Jovi site together which is now online. I try to find things to
put up that aren't "everywhere", like Discographies, Biographies etc.. For the
guitarists among you; I put all Chords & Tab transcripts of Bon Jovi / Richie / Jon
songs that are available on the net + the correct version of "I'll Be There For
You" & the chords for "I Want You". Well, just take a look yourself ;-)

MOVIE REVIEW
BORN TO RUN AROUND
By THELMA ADAMS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi is the star of Edward Burns' blue-collar
love triangle, "No Looking Back," why is the soundtrack wall-to-wall
Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa?
Because this serious turn in the writer-director's romantic trilogy,
following "The Brothers McMullen" and "She's the One," plays like an
extended Springsteen ballad. Bon Jovi may have a chance at being a
serious actor, but his music may be too truly working class for a young
man of Burns' pretension.
Bon Jovi, so charismatic in "The Leading Man," brings heart and the
brushed softness of worn denim to his factory-working, Bud-drinking
Michael. He's settled into a steady thing with live-in fiancee Claudia
(Lauren Holly) - but there's still no ring on her finger.
Charlie (Burns) doesn't fail to notice the missing diamond. Years after
dumping Claudia (and, yes, there's a hidden, soapy secret) and splitting
for California, the mechanic returns home. He's come to reclaim his
girl, or so he says.
Charlie's a no-account dreamer, a petty schemer (even I'm starting to
catch that Springsteen rhyme thing.). Before long, Chuck is licking the
back of Claudia's neck while Michael's at work.
Claudia, the most glam waitress ever to pour coffee at an off-season
seaside diner, starts to wonder about her future while filing her
already-perfect nails.
In what passes as the subplot, Claudia's father has left her mother
(Blythe Danner) for a younger model in Vegas. Faced with a choice
between steadfast Michael and charming Chuck, Claudia has to decide
whether she's her mother's daughter - or her father's.
This three-minute pop tune of romantic loss and independence found plays
out against the shabby-chic scenery of the Rockaways, nostalgically shot
by Frank Prinzi. Burns expands his range by playing against his hero
type, but it's not enough to carry a movie that's flying without a
script over too-familiar territory.

Ok, Sanremo (the Italian music festival) is over. No Bon Jovi, unfortunately...
Tico was present last night (I think only for watching his wife, Eva Herzigova,
hehehehehe... ), but not a word about the Bon Jovi.
By the way, Sanremo has been a GREAT festival... Great songs... And great guests!
Madonna, Michael Bolton, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Backstreet Boys (argh!), Aqua
(double argh!), Celine Dion, and many others!
Sanremo has been won by Annalisa Minetti, a great italian
voice... She's beautiful, young and even nice. 8)

Too bad... ;(
We'll have to wait 'till 1999 for the new BJ album... This because Richie and Jon
are still busy with their own Solos. But the new album will come, that's for sure!
Eva Herzigova (Tico's wife) is one of the presenters at Sanremo,
the Italian Music Festival. There's an HUGE probability that
the Bon Jovi will be guest-star!!!
Sanremo is scheduled for late February, on Raiuno TV. You can
grab it via Eurosat.
I've found a Special Edition of
These Days... I'll probably buy it next week.

Grabbed this from alt.music.bon-jovi:
Out of the blue, (and a nice surprise!!!) I just received a call from Donna Daniels' office in NYC (they are a public relations firm helping w/ the promotion of TLM). I had talked to a rep from the office before, and she called me tonight with the following follow up info to share:
As far as she knows the dates for the release of "The Leading Man" have now been changed to late February to early March. I asked if she knew which theaters they would be released in or what cities, and they are unsure at this time.
The reason for the delay: The rep said that they want to wait until they can put the movie in the proper theaters. Academy Awards season runs til around March, and some movies are being rereleased at choice theaters. From the info she gave me, they are not trying to put TLM in the running this year.
Also, the slides that you see on the OBJ website....they should appear much clearer once I have them made into photos. I mentioned to this rep that the slides don't show up that well on the site and she let me know that if a copier will print them it is ok to have them done, and gave me the contact # for someone at BMG just in case there is any problem transferring them. I will do them ASAP if I can ($personal funds$)
So, that's the news for now...
Just be patient because the movie will be released in Feb or March
Always,
Lisa M
